Travelling with Essential Oils
Traveling to a new destination is always an adventure—even if sometimes it can also be a stressful and tiring experience when we end up not feeling our best. This can happen especially if you are traveling long distances, but a trip of any length brings some level of these feelings. The good news? Using essential oils on the road can help you fight back and get back to enjoying your time away from home.
Our circadian rhythms are trained by our usual environment, including the light-dark cycle of night and day. If you are passing through multiple time zones when flying, it can mess with this internal clock, and cause you to feel drowsy, tired, irritable, and maybe even disoriented, a state many know as jet lag. To fight jet lag, make sure to stay hydrated during your flight and get enough rest before you travel. Once you arrive at your destination, getting a full night’s sleep should help you recover quickly, but in the meantime essential oils can help you adjust a little.
